An Introduction to Amanda Burnham
My name is Amanda Burnham; Registered Osteopath, having qualified from the London School of Osteopathy in 2009 I practiced extensively in London and am now settled here in Edinburgh.
Driven by patient satisfaction I pride myself in providing the best hands on therapy and after care advice possible. As a Registered Osteopath you can be assured of a high level of practice and quality assurance with over a decade of experience working in London and Edinburgh.
My commitment and passion for Osteopathy can be traced back to my experiencing Osteopathy as a patient following a car accident and again later after a difficult first pregnancy and tricky delivery. Indeed, it was this positive experience that inspired me to enrol at the L.S.O. in the BSc. (Honours) in Osteopathy degree programme. Whilst there, and with my own personal experiences to draw upon, I fine tuned my empathy and skill in treating pregnant and post natal patients, babies and children. I have gained post graduate qualifications in paediatric and Cranial techniques.
I use both a structural and classical Osteopathic approaches when treating patients of all ages and abilities. I also have a keen interest in workplace ergonomics and can provide on site assessments and corrections. In addition I use Western Medical Acupuncture and Kinesio Taping plus exercise rehabilitation programmes to support patients progression back to health.
